What products do we have?
We have professional imported products, at fair fees in a competitive environment. Experience and not just knowledge, has shown her what will work best for each patient. Supermarkets overwhelm patients with choices, and there are excellent products for patients with Gingivitis and Periodontal disease. You need advice from your Oral Hygienist, to make an informed choice.
Something to think about…
Sharks have over 50 000 teeth in their life time. We don’t. Ladies spend a fortune on hair and nails. Men on take-aways and beer. All your hours in the Gym, will be wasted if your breath smells! So the cost of neglected mouths are hugely underestimated.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Scale and Polish?
Washing teeth in Layman’s terms. Deposits like plaque and tarter are removed. Tobacco stains, coffee, and red wine stains your teeth, externally. If left untreated, inflammation, infection and bone loss can occur, leading to teeth loss. A clean mouth, a fresh breath is of utmost importance to your general health.
Is it painful?
Scaling and polishing cause little discomfort. If necessary, your gums can be anesthetized, for less tenderness. I have had patients falling asleep, while I am bleaching! Please no conference calls, when in treatment – Eish !
Will whitening damage my teeth?
No. Only if you bleach them indefinitely. We bleach them once, then the patient has to do maintenance, on a regular basis. Maintenance is easy and very affordable. It depends on the patient’s lifestyle, habits and Marguerite will assist you with that!
Will my teeth be white as the Kardashians?
No, they have veneers on their teeth. Your teeth will look brighter, whiter, cleaner, but not like false teeth. You will look younger, and even skew teeth look good, when bleached. According to studies, people with white teeth are more trusted than people with yellow teeth?!
Will bleaching make my teeth sensitive?
Sensitivity is a side affect of bleaching, not the cause of it. It is normal to have sensitivity for 3 days after treatment. Patients are given a potent gel, with potassium nitrate and fluoride, closing the dental tubules, for long – term relief.
What does it cost?
A written quote can be given for whitening, as there are different options. If the patient comes for a Scale and Polish, and more treatment is needed, the patient will be informed before commencing treatment.
Why does my child need a Fissure Sealant?
To save your child’s teeth from decay as soon as the molars erupt. On the molars biting surfaces, are grooves (fissures), or pits which are vulnerable to decay. Sealant materials are placed in the pits, making them less vulnerable, and easier to keep clean.
My son plays rugby, how do we protect his teeth?
Mouth guards are extremely effective in preventing facial injury in contact sport. A custom made mouth guard, in the colour of your choice, can be made, for comfort and safety. It prevents and reduces injury to the teeth, lips and gums. Custom made mouth guards, also reduces the risk of concussion, fits better than over-the-counter mouth guards and lasts longer.
